October 9, 2007 Meeting Minutes – (A. Caschera) Minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by D. McDermott and seconded by R. Beerle to accept the minutes as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report - (B. DiBella) Bob presented the treasurer's report and reviewed the summary and transaction report as of October 31, 2007 and stated that the account is still in great shape. A motion was made by L. Maliszewski and seconded by T. Ward to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.

Fields/Grounds – (R. Urbano) Fields were fertilized one last time and winterized. Sprinkler system will be turned off.

CDYSL – (T. Ward) Terri mentioned that it may be possible to register teams for the outdoor season by February 1. Terri has not been able to contact the representative for the popcorn fundraiser. It was mentioned that the Club needs to find a fundraiser to offset the cost of the indoor turf and other expenditures.

Fall Rec – (D. McDermott) Dave stated that the Rec program went very well with 624 kids. Angelo thanked Dave, Kathleen, Bob and Mario for doing a great job and for being there every weekend.

Registrar – (A. Bush) Angela mentioned that we have 165 kids registered so far. She reminded everyone that she needs pictures for head coaches and assistant coaches. If a manager is listed on the roster, she will need a picture of them as well and they need to fill out the risk management form.

Spring Tournament – (D. McDermott) – Dave is working on dates. He is checking with the Saratoga Soccer Club to ensure there is no conflict with their tournament. Volunteers to run the tournament will be needed.

Travel Team – (A. Caschera) Angelo reviewed all travel teams and coaches. There are a few changes. They are as follows:

Discussion was held regarding a few teams. Chet Pratt’s team is all set. There are some concerns with the U12 boys. The Club will look into this. Angelo also mentioned that he needs the uniform spreadsheet with names, sizes and numbers on it. He also has coaches’ bag and a ball for each.

New business – Discussion was held regarding the upcoming elections in January. Currently, there is one opening on the board. Board members due for re-election are: Angelo Caschera, Rocco Urbano Terri Ward, Ben Hirsch and Fil DiCristofaro. Terri and Ben will not be seeking re-election. Therefore, there are three openings at this time. The board is comprised of 11 members for a two-year term. The executive board is elected every year with a President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Anyone interested in running for the board is asked to fill out the candidate form previously emailed to everyone and hand it in at the December meeting. Also, discussed were the 2008 committees. A new committee for tryouts needs to be formed. This committee will be responsible for tryout registration and to ensure that tryouts are carried out more efficiently. Everyone is asked to consider helping out on these committees. On December 1, the Boys and Girls Club is once again holding their annual fundraiser at the Elks Club. Angelo also discussed the possiblity of holding a basic first aid training course for all coaches. Mike Jenks will look into this.

The next Board meeting will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2007 with Board members will meet at 7:00pm and the general meeting will be at 7:30pm at the Colombo Club.

With no other topics to be discussed, a motion was made by R. Beerle and seconded by R. Urbano to adjourn the meeting at 9:35pm. All in attendance were in favor. Motion carried.
